Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a low-intensity laser therapy used by some physiotherapists to treat various musculoskeletal conditions. It will affect the function of connective tissue cells (fibroblasts), accelerate connective tissue repair and act as an anti-inflammatory agent

The light energy from a laser can reduce pain and inflammation, accelerate healing in damaged tissues, relax muscles, and stimulate nerve regeneration. Patients usually begin to feel better after 1 or 2 treatments to resolve the problem.

Benefits of laser:

  • Reduction of inflammation
  • Pain relief
  • Accelerated tissue regeneration
  • Improved Vascular Activity
  • Reduced Fibrous Tissue Formation
  • Faster Wound Healing
  • Stem Cell Activation

Conditions that are treated include:

  • Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip and ankle
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • TMD
  • Shoulder impingement syndromes
  • Hip or shoulder bursitis
  • Low back disc degeneration
  • Disc herniation
  • Sciatica
  • Neuropathic pain
  • Tendonitis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Reduction of volume and pain in lymphedema
