Neck injury

Neck pain also referred to as cervical pain, is the sense of discomfort and pain in the cervical vertebrae area. It is the pain that starts in the neck associated with or without radiating pain down one or both of the arms. Neck pain can arise from a number of disorders or diseases in the neck, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments or muscles.

Neck pain symptoms:

  • Arm numbness or Tingling
  • Shoulder pain
  • Headache
  • Tingling sensation
  • Sharp and shooting pain
  • Dizziness

Causes of neck pain:

Physiotherapy for neck pain:

  •  Traction: Traction therapy involves creating a sustained pull on the neck due to nerve root irritation or muscle spasms
  •  Mobilization: It is a manual treatment that improves joint function along with stretching tight muscles and ligaments through neck pain exercises
