Ultrasound therapy is an electrotherapy used by physiotherapists to treat pain conditions and to promote tissue healing. Ultrasound therapy uses sound waves that are above the range of human hearing to treat injuries like muscle strains, ligament injuries for many years. Ultrasound is known to relax your tissues, break down scar tissue and increase your blood flow around the affected area. An increased blood flow can help reduce swelling and heal fractured bones. Therapeutic ultrasound is often used for treating chronic pain and it is recommended if you experience any of the following conditions:
